Hardin II Solar Energy Center

About the Project


The Hardin II Solar Energy Center, is a 150 Megawatt solar power generation facility located in Hardin County, Ohio. Hardin II is an opportunity to boost the local economy in the county and create jobs, all while generating clean energy to meet Ohio's growing electricity demand.

The proposed project is located south of Alger, located on the east side of State Route 235.

    At peak construction, the Hardin Solar III Energy Center is expected to employ up to 375 people. Once operational, the project will employ 3-5 permanent operations and maintenance (O&M) staff.

    Providing a new significant source of income for landowners, Hardin II will provide millions in land costs and lease payments over the estimated 40-year project lifetime.
